Whether the early morning dew is still on the grass, or the afternoon sun is blazing down, it seems that even nature conspires to make the golf course at Shady Oaks, at any time of day, an incomparable experience. Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones and built by Plummer, the golf course features large bent grass greens and broad, gently rolling fairways. Majestic trees dot the course. Many of these grand oak trees are estimated to be hundreds of years old. Shady Oaks has no tee times. Resident golf memberships are limited, enabling Shady Oaks to continue these policies into the future. The Shady Oaks golf course encompasses 27 holes. The championship 18-hole course surrounds the other nine holes, known informally and affectionately as the "Little Nine."
