Musselburgh is a top class championship course designed by James Braid in 1938. The length from the championship tees is a testing 6725 yards and with a par 71, SSS 72 it is a quality test of golf. Built round a bend of the river Esk, it has relatively flat tree-lined yet generous fairways. The Craigie burn meanders over some fairways giving golfers the option of laying up short or going for the green.

Brilliant course in immaculate condition. The course is really long in places especially hole 2 which is a par 4, but a 5 is an equally good score. The course has OOB all the way up on the left hand side and no joy if you miss on the right. If you go in the trees your ball is gone. Combined with a brilliant professional team in Norman, Cameron and the the assistant, the club is a great place to really test your golf.
