White Pines Golf Course

White Pines Golf Course opened Memorial Day weekend of 2002. The property was purchased from the Dunipace Family in Februrary of 2000. The owners are Ed Spatz, his sister Karen Gerken and her husband, Peter Gerken. The golf course design is by Mike Mueller (Ed's and Karen's cousin), owner of Valley View Farms Golf Course in Saginaw, Michigan. Ed Spatz is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Turf Grass and Soil Management. Prior to White Pines, Ed was the Superintendent for 12 years of Auglaize County Club in the Defiance, Ohio area. Karen Gerken is also a graduate of Michigan State University and worked for 15 years as a Sales Representative for VWR International. Peter Gerken currently works for Napoleon Area Schools. Peter and Karen have three children. We are thrilled to make this area our home and look forward to many years of enjoyable golf
