Description
The Grizzly opened in Mason, Ohio on July 1, 1972 as the third course designed by the legendary partnership of Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead. Sometimes fierce, sometimes friendly, the Grizzly name was bestowed on the course, forever linking it to the incredible legacy of the Golden Bear. This year, we’re recognizing the 50th anniversary of our legendary course with a new identity that honors our rich history and promising future. In the Nicklaus tradition, the Grizzly fully utilizes the expanse of land with a variety of brilliantly designed holes, taking players on a scenic tour of the area. Muirhead’s influence is evidenced through long, multi-curved fairways, large trees retained as natural hazards, water hazards on the final holes, and plenty of bunkers.

Construction impacting course.

Great design on the course. But still under reconstruction. A lot of messy holes. But very good challenge.

It is a good course that has prime tees, fairways, and greens. If you need work on your sandtrap game, this is the course. Just about every hole has greens with traps in front or sides on the entire course.

Nice course and was tough

Pretty well maintained course. There are some bald spots in some areas, but well designed and beautiful scenery. A good mix of sand and water to work around. A good challenge.
