Description
There are two regulation 18-hole courses at Tam O'Shanter: The "Hills" and the "Dales." Leonard Macomber designed the Dales Course after working on other golf projects under the legendary architect Donald Ross. Merle Paul, the designer of the Hills Course, was associated with Macomber throughout the development of Tam O'Shanter. Both the Hills and Dales courses are traditional designs in the Donald Ross tradition. The Hills Course opened in 1931. It is a traditional "sporty" layout reminiscent of its era, with small putting greens and rolling terrain.
