Eagle Rock is nestled on 180 acres in Defiance County, Ohio and offers a pleasurable golf experience for the occasional golfer as well as those who enjoy a challenge. Under new ownership and management, the former private Kettenring Country Club is now a public club, with a variety of memberships available. Unlike the typical northwest Ohio flat terrain, Eagle Rock boasts beautiful rolling hills and elevation changes. Tree-lined fairways, water features, and a winding creek give Eagle Rock golfers a unique golfing experience. It is not uncommon to glimpse an eagle flying overhead, as the majestic birds venture from their nest on the nearby Maumee River at Independence Dam State Park. Eagle Rock’s signature hole is #18 — a par 4 dogleg, which features rolling hills and a lush, undulated green nestled in a valley where spectators and diners at Sweetwater Chophouse, located on the top floor of the clubhouse, can appreciate the golfer’s approach and putting expertise.

This course has horrible drainage and they put no money into their golf course, all of it goes into their restaurants.

Great course to play but disappointed that they no longer set out water coolers throughout the course.
