In het groene hart van Nederland, tussen de dorpen Vleuten en Haarzuilens, ligt Golfclub De Haar. Wie op De Haar speelt, speelt in feite in de ‘tuin’ van kasteel De Haar: het Zuiderpark. Het park werd eind vorige eeuw aangelegd en beschikte toen al over 6 holes. Maar niet voor lang; paarden, koeien en schapen graasden jaren de fairways af, maar men kon nog altijd duidelijk zien dat hier ooit gegolfd werd.
