The course is much more accessible to many New England Golfers than they think; only located 69 miles (1hr 15 min.) drive from downtown Boston, 15 miles/15 min. drive from downtown Portsmouth, NH, and only a 15-20 min. drive from all Southern Maine tourist areas including Kittery, York, Ogunquit, Wells, & Kennebunkport. New England Golfers can get here from there.

As far as links style courses go, I would rate Outlook at the top. Front nine is deceiving in that it appears simplistic with virtually no trees in play and a fairly straightforward layout but don't be fooled. It does favor the long hitter but you still have to be accurate with your tee shots in order to set up a favorable approach. The back nine is target golf all the way. What the front lacks in apparent diversity, the back more than makes up for in drastic elevation changes and well-placed hazards. A true Jekyll & Hyde scenario for 18 holes and a pleasurable experience beginning to end.
