Information

We take pride in our small greens of velvet bent grass. Velvet has the finest texture of all the bent grasses and is one of the oldest grasses used for golf courses in Europe. It has served us well for over 80 years exhibiting strong resistance to disease and drought all while offering the golfer a smooth, velvety putting surface. Errant shots off of four tees bring water into play and, while length is not a major factor, proper club and shot selection will be rewarded. Designed by Alonzo Yates, all nine holes were completed in 1923 on what can modestly be described as a fabulous piece of property.
