The Golfers Guide to Ireland 2016, voted Westport as ‘The best Parkland in Connaught, 2016, for the second time in the last three years. The par is 73, with five par fives contributing significantly to a yardage of 6800. Sitting on the edge of Clew Bay You may well need to look up at the ever present Croagh Patrick for inspiration! Kevin Markham, Golf writer and Photographer, Consultant at ‘Destination Golf’ highlights holes 11 to 16 – “Superb, using the best elevation changes, the best views and the water to thrill you.” The recent spell of warm weather with sprinklings of rain showers means the course is now in pristine condition.
