The Architect employed to design Waterstock golf course was Donald Steel M.A., a former international golfer and the first architect to have undertaken major work at St. Andrews for more than 50 years. As well as designing the Jubilee Course in 1987, Donald Steel was also responsible for work completed on the Eden Course in 1988. His unique combination of professional skills and personal interest has ensured that the 6,500 yard, Par 72 Waterstock Course is both sympathetic and challenging to players of all standards. Waterstock is a parkland course that has matured nicely over recent years, as well as a reputation of having a great design the greens are now amongst the best in Oxfordshire. Signature holes are the 4th and 10th, both sweeping dog leg par 5's with the 14th, measuring only 124 yards, having a large bunker which bends around the front of the green and a steep bunker to the left.

Enjoyable course for developing your game as a beginner. It’s pretty long for beginners but not too many traps and mostly fairways either side of yours for errant shots. Might be dull for experienced/skilled players but overall it’s worth playing a round here! Good driving range on site for a warm up too and friendly staff in the clubhouse

Poor condition, boring, long. Clubhouse looks like a shed.

Shocking conditions, not helped by a course full of buggies.

Very patchy greens Nice short rough Well kept fairways Not very challenging, very short and little hazards throughout great for beginners - not so fun for more experienced golfers.
