Theale Golf Course, designed and constructed by owner Mike Lowe, was founded in 1996. Mike, being a keen golfer himself, with particularly high standards when it comes to golf, has played a major role in the development and maintenance of the course since day one and continues to do so with the help of his green staff. Attentive care has seen great improvements on the course over recent years and ever increasing compliments are received regarding the fairways and greens. Each hole, thoughtfully laid out, is well defined with clever use of the abundance of mature trees already in place coupled with the thousands of new trees planted during construction. This parkland course is deceptively challenging. Holes varying in length from 154 yards to 519 yards (off the yellow tees), and numerous hazards in between ensures a game at Theale Golf Club remains interesting throughout.
