Frank Pennick took great care in laying out this particular Kent classic back in 1909 and the challenge and aesthetic pleasure of the course have never been diluted. The same cannot be said of other courses which were designed back then across England. Mid-Kent golf course features superb 18 holes and stretches to 6,218 yards with a standard scratch of 70. It is a well-maintained downland course with some easy walking holes, but it is better known for the quality of its greens. It is not a hooker's course as the last thing you want to do on a regular basis is spray is right off the tee.
