The 9 Hole Course, with a good selection of holes, provides a real challenge to golfers of all abilities. It was designed by Hamilton Stutt, a local golf course Architect, famous for designing exciting courses across the world that make the most of the natural terrain. Re-designed in the 1970’s, the course has matured amazingly well. The course benefits from indigenous woodland across its entirety. In addition it boasts many beautiful pine trees dotted around the landscape. The view from the course at Cowes can be breathtaking with stunning vistas on a late summers evening, looking across the Solent, making you feel as though you could be anywhere in the world. The layout of the holes uses the natural topography and the course blends well into the surroundings rather than imposing upon it. Over 10 years have passed since a tree planting programme was implemented. These plantations are maturing fantastically and are readily producing a superb test of strategic parkland playability.
