  Lovely challenging course with significant undulation on the vast majority of holes, plenty of well positions bunkers, tight tree lined fairways & tricky greens. Scores card doesn’t appear that long, but several strong par 4s protect the course & shooting around your handicap at this course is always challenging, especially when the course rating is 1.3 shots above its par of 68. The course & clubhouse have had significant investment over the last few years & being a private members club all money goes on improving the course. I’ve been part of the club for over 6 years & it really is up there with the best courses in Essex.

  Don’t come if you’re not a member, no priority for you. Had a 5 hour round with a bunch of slow swindle players ahead - unoriginal course with only 1 par 5, quite boring to play

  Played here a few times as a relative is a member. Usually in good condition but I must say very disappointed lately with some very unkempt greens and uncut fairways - needs to improve rapidly to keep up with other courses in Essex
