The course is notable for its many species of trees, copses and ponds that all add to the visual appeal. USGA standard greens and the year round equable climate provide good playing conditions 12 months of the year with temporary greens very rarely in use. The holes have been carefully fashioned utilising the natural contours of the land that are gently undulating rather than excessively hilly, with the holes around the turn providing a particularly good test of golf.
