Description
Set in beautiful woodland lined with gorse and water features, The Hamilton Course provides spectacular views of the Clandeboye Estate and Helen’s Tower. Each hole is unique, demanding different shapes of shot with water features coming into play on 11 of the 18 holes. USGA Greens provide challenging slopes and undulations while making the greens a pleasure to putt on. The signature hole, the 166 yard Par 3 12th, is a picturesque yet demanding hole over water, providing a stiff examination of the Tees shot. There is a marvellous diversity of wildlife all over the course including our own resident family of swans breeding for the last two years.

Tom PilsonApril 08, 2025Blackwood brought in consultants to oversee the way to manage the course. I have been a member for over 20years and last summer and this winter have been the best condition I have seen and played on. I would recommend Blackwood to anyone it's worth a visit.
Gordon BuckleyJune 25, 2022Excellent woodland course (The Hamilton) in the Clandeboye estate. Course improving nicely now. Greens now a nice speed but not easy when pins placed cunningly. The small par 3 course (Temple)is a little gem.
