Tarpon Woods Country Club

Under the name Tarpon Woods Country Club, Tarpon Woods Golf Club opened in 1971. The 6,613-yard, par-72 layout was designed by Lane Marshall, who designed several other courses on the west coast of Florida including Foxfire Country Club in Sarasota and Maple Leaf Estates in Port Charlotte. The Brooker Creek Preserve borders the golf course so it’s not unusual to see alligators, deer, turkey, osprey and other native animals flourishing alongside the fairways, lakes and creeks that make this course not only a challenge to play but also a delight to experience. The facilities at Tarpon Woods include a 7,500-square-foot clubhouse which was updated in 2009 to include a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s restaurant. The clubhouse accommodates 100 patrons for banquets, meetings and corporate outings. A newly renovated practice facility includes a driving range with natural turf and artificial grass hitting areas and of course, the golf shop is fully-stocked by Steve's Wonderful Word of Golf with anything you might need for your golf game.
