Southland Golf & Country Club

Built in 1985, Southland opened as a private 9-hole club prior to becoming available in recent years for public access. Designed by renowned golf course architect, William Byrd (who also designed Atlanta Country Club).Southland offers dramatic elevation changes, natural granite outcroppings, and a large 36 acre lake; which make the layout unique, memorable and challenging. With the addition of current holes 4-12 in 1989, the course was redesigned and became the 18-hole layout you see today. New Champions Bermuda greens were added in 2011 and consistently run close to 10 on the Stimp Meter in the summer and 11-12 in the winter-they are very fast and undulating-so stay below the hole! The course is open 7-days a week, 364 days per year-closing only on Christmas day. Tee times begin at 7:30am daily and may be made by calling the golf shop at 770-469-2717, six days in advance for non-members, and seven days in advance for members. The course is located in a residential community, with “resident:” benefits available (see the golf shop for details). The course is available to host golf outings charity events, fund raisers, and .also have three banquet rooms available for parties, weddings, and business meetings.
