Description

What is commonly known today as Pikes Peak was originally named "Shining Mountain" by the Ute Native Americans because of how brightly the sun reflected off of the snow. Minutes from the idyllic town of Woodland Park, Colorado; Shining Mountain is sure to be considered a jewel in the Rocky Mountain state. Woodland Park is nestled among the pines of the Pike National Forest and with over 300 days of sunshine, we enjoy comfortable summers and mild winters. Located at nearly 8500 feet above sea level, this is why we are called "The City Above the Clouds". The course is 6,478 yards from the championship tees with a par of 70. The course rating is 71.6 and has a slope rating of 136 on bluegrass. The seasons here are mild and the views spectacular, which makes this a must play for your golfing pleasure.

Course was in pretty bad shape and cart path and for 75 dollars not worth it now

Interesting course, very challenging back 9. Very good condition. Can be a little slow due to narrow landing areas and lots of ball searching.

Tough course! Well maintained. Greens are true. It's a little narrow in places. 4stars
