Quail Valley - La Quinta Golf Course

The La Quinta golf course is a vintage Jack Miller design from 1970 that has a reputation as one of the best public-access golf courses in the Houston area with a layout that provides excellent value. Five sets of tee markers extend the par-71 layout from 5,486 yards to 6,920 yards. La Quinta at Quail Valley Golf Course is a predominantly flat golf course featuring generous fairways and small, elevated greens with tricky undulations. These greens can be tough because of their grain and subtle slopes. The course weaves its way through the Quail Valley neighbourhood while mature trees at the margins allow players to swing freely off the tee. But big hitters will need to rein it in on La Quinta. Water comes into play frequently on 13 of the 18 holes. A couple of par 3s play over hazards and in other instances, the penalty areas loom close to the greens.
