The Polokwane Golf Club has a long history and part of that history is a long list of prestigious events hosted over the years, including the Sunshine Tour during the 1990's to the recent Country Districts Tournament, the 2012 WGSA 72 Hole Stroke Play Tournament and the club's signature event:The Baobab Classic. The club is also fondly referred to the "Home of Retief Goosen" as this is the very course where he honed his prolific skills.

Franco PutterMay 15, 2024Polokwane Golf Club: Don't Be Fooled by its Size! Polokwane Golf Club may be a "little" course, but don't underestimate its challenge! Several holes, especially from the tips, stretch out surprisingly long and demand accurate shots. While the course could be in slightly better condition. Don't forget to download the Hole19 app for GPS distances and helpful course tips to navigate those sneaky long holes and maximize your enjoyment!
