The course opened on October 9, 1993. Those privileged to have played Pine Valley will immediately pick up on the striking and often remarkable similarities such as sand scrub waste areas that border fairways and greens which are immaculately maintained at all times at a level found only at a few of the finest clubs in the world. Many of the bunkers are sod faced and are strategically placed to be aesthetically pleasing and require skilled shot making. The tee complexes are all isolated as islands and manicured to perfection. Every hole is distinctly different and memorable. The course, which plays at over 7,000 yards from the Championship Tees, offers a variety of shot options and is challenging for players of all levels of ability.
