Mannings Heath Golf Club (Waterfall)

Established in 1905, the Waterfall course, is the jewel in the crown of Sussex golf. The course is set amongst acres of mature deciduous woodland and streams with patchwork fairways. Due to the location in over 300 acres of rolling Sussex downs, the course a hybrid, a mix of heathland, downland and parkland and provides golfers with an exciting and entertaining course which holds the interest all the way round. Indeed it is testament to the quality of this course that Gary Player included the 11th hole, known as The Valley, in his imaginary top 18 holes of golf in the world. Several of the holes are wonderfully testing, demanding accuracy from the tee. The 1st tee is set in the shadow of the gorgeous 17th century Clubhouse and has a spectacular prospect. From the elevated tee, a long and accurate drive over a wooded valley is the order of the day. The 2nd is a very short par 4, but this comes too early in the round for most of us to take too much advantage.
