Lee Park Golf Club

Lee Park Golf Club was founded in the early 50’s, as at that time it was extremely difficult for Jewish golfers to obtain admission to a private golf club. Consequently a group of enthusiastic Founders managed to find some land and, together with the local Jewish community, many of whom were non-golfers, purchased shares in our Club to enable the land to be bought. These Founder members, to whom we are eternally grateful, helped to prepare the course by clearing stones and boulders, driving tractors and demolishing old walls. Sadly, there are only a few of these Founders still with us today. Over the years many developments have taken place both on the course and in the Clubhouse, and today we have a Golf Club of which we are justly proud. Lee Park Golf Club is also a member of the Society of Liverpool Golf Captains, one of the oldest in England being formed in 1908, and we have forged, over the years, excellent relationships with our neighbouring clubs and many further afield.
