The Joseph M. Bartholomew Golf Course is an 18-hole, public course with a yardage of 6,665 at its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Originally opened as the Pontchartrain Golf Course in 1956, this course was renovated in 1979 and renamed to honor the first African-American inducted in the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame

C.J. JonesOctober 01, 2022BEAUTIFUL municipal golf course. Greens were in great shape, fairways well kept & a nice layout. The food was delicious. A must play when you’re in the Big Easy! Nice clubhouse with wonderful employees EXCEPT for this one dark-skin black guy who is an a**hole who constantly harassed me b/c he overheard me tell someone in the clubhouse that I used to work for a certain SEC University’s Athletics Department. That day, he made it his mission to drive his maintenance cart out there and talk sh*t or do stupid stuff like pull the flags early and mentioned something about LSU or made unnecessary noises when he changed the trash bags. I really wanted to tell him to leave me the beep alone and let me play golf but I had my wife riding with me.
