Island West Golf Club Located off of US 278 (Fording Island Rd), Island West Golf Club is one of the first courses you pass on your way into Hilton Head and one of the last on your way out. Designed by Major Champion Fuzzy Zoeller, Island West provides a different test than the rest of the Brown Golf courses in the area. The Golf course is not long tipping out at 6,800 yards, but it does provide a tee to green test due to narrow fairways and small greens. This shot maker’s paradise has received praise by members as the best condition it has been in 10 years.
