Der Golfclub Straubing Stadt und Land e.V. wurde 1991 gegründet. Der sehr gepflegte und äußerst interessante Golfplatz liegt ca. 7 km nördlich von Straubing, direkt am Fuße des Bayerischen Waldes, reizvoll inmitten eines Naherholungsgebietes (Wasserski, Campen, Angeln, Baden, Wandern, Reiten, Radfahren). Durch das flache, nur leicht bewegte Gelände ist der Golfplatz auch in hohem Alter leicht begehbar.
