“Worth the Trip” Golf Des Iles Borromées has a strategic position. Situated on the hills above Stresa it is easily reachable from Milan (80 km), from the Swiss border (30 km) and from the Malpensa Airport (45 km). The highway (A26 Milano – Laghi) has an exit (Carpugnino) at less than two km from the Course. Situated in an enchanting landscape, the Course has some exceptional views of the Swiss Alps and of the Ticino Plain. From the 18th tee you can often see the skyline of Milan and four lakes: Lake Maggiore, Lake Varese, Lake Monate and Lake Comabbio.

Despite reservations, there was a noticeable trend of individuals attempting to assert themselves without prior booking. As for the course itself, it caters well to enthusiasts of mountain golf, but for those seeking a different experience, it falls short. Personally, it didn't resonate with my preferences, and I won't be returning. Additionally, the limited practice facilities, restricted solely to mats, were a letdown. Overall, my time at Golf Club des Îles Borromées was underwhelming, and I wouldn't recommend it to others seeking a more welcoming and accommodating golfing experience.
