Description
Emirates Golf Club's second championship golf course, which opened in 1996, was named 'The Wadi', taken from the Arabic word for 'valley'. Redesigned in 2005 by golf legend and six-time major winner Nick Faldo, the course now combines a stunning visual design with the nuances ad challenges of any championship course in just the right measure, providing visitors an exceptionally enjoyable golfing experience. The new course was re-named ?The Faldo? when it re-opened in October 2006. A par-72, the course has proved to be as popular as its predecessor and lures players to the challenge of its 7,052 yards.

Stu ButlerMay 09, 2021Faldo is a course of two halves. The front 9 is tough with water featuring on 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9. I challenge anyone not to get wet at least once. The back nine is much drier with some great character holes. Nice tee boxes, excellent buggies, well kept fairways and bunkers. The green in general are tired, covered in pitch marks and very difficult to read. The course has excellent Marshall’s to keep the flow of play. The best feature of Faldo is that’s it’s flood lit in the evening so year round you and tee of as late as 8pm for 18 holes or even 9:30pm to squeeze in 9 holes.
Jens ReisingFebruary 04, 2025Course is in very nice condition. Greens are firm. Back 9 not as nice as front 9. But rental equipment was top notch Ping G430 driver, woods and irons.
