Castle Creek Country Club
Escondido, CA, United States
An 18-hole golf course in Escondido, CA, United States. Check out the scorecard, tees, course rating, and read user reviews below.

Description
Founded in 1948, the par 72 golf course was designed by Jack Daray, whose credits include Olympia Fields Country Club (home of the 2003 U.S. Open). The course provides players with oak-lined fairways, white sand bunkers, undulating greens and intermittent play over Moosa Creek, adding character and challenge to every hole. Course highlights include a deceptively dangerous 14th hole (Castle Creek's signature), and the very technical up/downhill trio on the 10th, 11th and 12th fairways are considered by many as one of the toughest in the county. The course is ideal for golfers of all skill levels and offers five different sets of tees ranging from the challenging black tees at 6,638 yards to beginners green tees at 4,706 yards. Several practice areas are available throughout the course and golf lessons and clinics are offered through the pro shop. In addition, tournament packages are available for individuals or organizations looking to host their own event. The temperate climate and sunny skies of San Diego make this course a year-round golfer’s paradise.

Narrow, tough, interesting course that has been totally neglected and is in terrible shape. Greens are pockmarked with dead grass holes and sand filling. Fairways are relatively without any substantial grass. The whole course is brown. No one is paying any attention to the care of this course, which is a shame. The layout is challenging and would be fun if it wasn’t in such deplorable shape.

The course is challenging which is nice, but there was very little grass. The course could use more water and care. The club house is awesome though.
