Description
Located just off coastal highway, US-17 in Hampstead, NC. is a challenging, Scottish links style 18-hole championship course. Although there are no trees on the course, there are the typical links hazards of tall bunkers, water, and waste areas. True to the tradition, the course demands excellent shot placement on almost every hole. And yes, like all links courses, occasionally one must factor in the wind.

Willy BarberichDecember 10, 2022Greens are always above average, mostly. Don’t like the plastic “hole keepers” they use. Just replace the hole with grass like everyone else. Some tee boxes were rough. Need to level out a few of them. Big crown on some which leaves a small area to tee off on level ground. Fairways are outstanding as usual July 3rd, 836 tee time, 90 degrees. Didn’t see a cart girl til hole #12. Seems like a holiday week you could get though drinks moving a little quicker. Not a tough course but fun and fair. I’m a high handicap and I break 100 here regularly. Typically in above average shape.
