Carnmoney Golf Club

Carnmoney was designed to be a member's course. You can play Carnmoney over and over and never get bored with the layout of the course. Variety is what makes Carnmoney great. Four sets of tees on each hole accommodate all levels of golfers. For example, from the championship tees, the course plays at 6,836 yards and carries a slope rating of 141, one of the highest in Alberta. And from the forward set of tees, the course play 5,165 yards and carries a slope rating of 124, which is average in the province for the forward tees. Another great example of the course's diversity is it's par 3 sixth hole which offers members two greens - with one of the greens set on an island. Carnmoney offers five par 3 holes, five par 5 holes and eight par 4 holes. Split fairways, elevation changes, 88 bunkers and numerous water hazards create many ways to play each hole. The course is complemented by a grass tee driving range, three putting greens, and full clubhouse amenities; all in all, great club to call your own. Carnmoney Golf Club was established in 1992 and has become a friendly, member-owned, private club dedicated to creating a first rate, enjoyable golf experience for members and guests. Situated in a peaceful, country setting in DeWinton, a short drive south of Calgary on Highway 2 and 3 km east on Dunbow Road, Carnmoney is a great place to get away from it all. While Carnmoney appeals to golfers of all levels, this Les Furber designed course challenges even the most experienced golfer. Carnmoney was the host club for the 1997 Alberta Senior Amateur Championship, and was chosen by the Royal Canadian Golf Association to host the 1998 Canadian Club Champions Championships. In 2006 thru to 2011 Carnmoney was host to the Alberta Open.
