Big Fish Golf Club

Big Fish Golf Club is a lot like the area in which it resides. Just like Hayward, Big Fish has a wide variety of golf holes. From links style, wide open, windswept fairways on the front nine, to tree lined, rolling fairways on the back. Pete Dye did a masterful job of having the entire golf course flow together, even though the two nines are so different asthetically. His signature pot bunkers are present on both sides, as are the subtle nuances in the greens that make the course different every time you play. Even though the back nine is cut through the woods, it doesn’t severely penalize you for an errant tee shot. There is some room to miss left or right, and still have an opportunity to get to the green. Most folks don’t believe it when they’re told that the front nine actually plays tougher than the back. Even though there isn’t a single tree present on the entire front nine, the wind, fairway undulation and bunkering all scream Pete Dye.
