Abbotsley Golf Hotel (Abbotsley)

The Abbotsley Course is a real gem. It isn’t quite long enough to be a true championship course for modern men! But who really wants to flog round 7,000 yards – especially on holiday? Abbotsley regularly hosts men’s county championships, local professional tournaments and has hosted three English Ladies’ Championship events. We’ve enjoyed visits from Nick Faldo, Tony Jacklin, Laura Davies, Alison Nicholas and teams and squads from England, Ireland and Wales.At 6,400 yards from the white tees and 5,756 yards for ladies Abbotsley is a stern test. There are only three holes where it is impossible to go in a water hazard! Some are innocuous little ditches and others wickedly placed ponds.
