Lonsdale Links is a public-access 18 hole links course located in the coastal dunes of Point Lonsdale and bordering the beautiful Lake Victoria. The recently redeveloped course is now open and available to play. The course has been completely transformed to take advantage of the sweeping vistas across both new and old holes. Using trailblazer Charles Blair Macdonald and his colleagues Seth Raynor and Charles Banks as inspiration, in particular their templates, course architects Ogilvy, Cocking, Mead (OCM) have designed the course as a deliberate throwback to an earlier age and a unique look for an Australian course. Elements of these templates and the holes that inspired them can be found in the design at Lonsdale including – the Alps, Biarritz, Plateau, Eden, Leven, Punchbowl, Thumbprint, Redan and Road. The course is accompanied by a state-of-the-art Clubhouse, designed by Wood Marsh Architecture. Positioned on the crest of a hill, the building can be experienced from various sightlines, emerging above the trees as golfers navigate the course.
