Description
Hidden Valley is the former Heytesbury Stud, Wallan, owned by successful West Australian billionaire, Robert Holmes a Court. After Robert passed away, Heytesbury Stud was placed on the market with the blueprint for residential and rural development. Interest was strong from many notable parties and was finally purchased in 1997 by a consortium that formed Hidden Valley Australia Pty Ltd. The name Hidden Valley is abundantly clear to the early morning golfer, located just south of the Great Dividing Range, many a morning dawns with fog, often not lifting until the afternoon. Such conditions make for a challenge, especially coupled with the abundance of lakes including two double water carries on the 13th and 15th holes.

James RussellJanuary 06, 2025Played off the back pigs, this is a very seriously long golf course. The back line is certainly the superior of the two9s. Holes 13 through 15 are very challenging with water, then 17 is like a mini Augusta 18th at 414 m four and the 18th is something out of Florida or Sawgrass firing the path three over the water into an island. Green surrounded by water. At $40 it’s exceptional value I do think from an aesthetic perspective growling frog is a more attractive course.
