A beautiful golf course in the Melbourne sandbelt. As soon as you arrive at the course you know this golf experience will be excellent. The staff are extremely helpful.I hired some golf clubs they were also and excellent set of clubs, there was a great choice of different shaft flexes etc. The course had just had some of the fairways scarrified and were a little yellow but this had no effect on the quality of the course . The greens were pure and running fast and true . The course is set within a fantastic tree lined landscape and is in in tip top condition. The practice facilities are also really good as are the facilities within the clubhouse. The course opens with an inviting but very well bunkered par 4 . This is a great risk and reward hole. The 18th hole is also a short par 4 that can encourage an aggressive play from the tee but danger is lurking only a bunker away! and the quality of the golf holes just keeps getting better as you progress through the course. The par 3 ninth is an exquisite golf hole measuring only 133m in length but requires a precise shot to hold a fast green. This is a great course that requires a good strategy and a variety of clubs off the tee rather than just a driver on every tee. There is a lot of work ongoing to thin out trees and scrubland and return the course to its original design ,this work is progressing very well and will make for an even more beautiful course in the future. I look forward to another visit. Mark Duffy h9 Ireland
